Computer Based Training Programs
From the perspective of students who train with them, the Fast ForWord programs are computer games, with built-in motivators, including high-score tracking and amusing reward animations. Each exercise cross-trains several foundational cognitive skills that help kids become better learners.
Many exercises incorporate acoustically modified speech - patented technology that allows sounds to be stretched and emphasized in the lowest levels with progression to natural speech at the highest level. This technology helps children recognize word sounds, first in isolated syllables, then in groups of sounds, words, and finally, sentences.
Engaging exercises include:

Sky Gym
Improves sequencing, sound processing, and working memory skills, which are critical for decoding and phonemic awareness.

Space Commander
Improves listening accuracy, listening comprehension and the ability to follow instructions, increasing working memory load.

Hoop Nut
Improves recognition and discrimination between syllables that differ by an individual phoneme.

Robo Dog
Improves listening accuracy and word recognition skills.

Moon Ranch
Builds phoneme discrimination and listening comprehension skills that help students recognize differing letter sounds.
